I need to give a recommendation because it matters to me. I am tired of being treated like “just a girl” — dismissed or brushed off when I explain what is going on with my house. It’s frustrating to speak from lived experience and feel like my words are discounted before they’re even heard. As a single woman, being listened to means a lot, especially when dealing with male‑dominated industries like construction. Having to call for help should not come with the expectation that I’ll be talked down to or ignored.
